I bought a 45$ Beckett wet pump only. What type of glue would I need, and how would I would I be able to thread barbs into the res? I really like this pump, 320GPH and 12.2FT max head. So help me out guys

i used a marine conduit box, and used a rio submersible pump. Then used a lot of silicone to seal it works well.

He already has a beckett pump. What are the dimensions? I've used a 4x4x4 electric junction box for a res before:

I believe they come in 6x6 aswell. Thick tappable plastic and the box comes with an o-ring on the top for a watertight seal. There's a howto in this thread: http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=271018&highlight=junction+box

that just might work. Hot damn. Only thing I see is that i do not want to cut the cord. Sid you do this? Looks like I will need the 6x6x6. My pump is a bit too long.

I didn't cut my cord. I just cut a slot between the lid and box so I could screw down the lid clamping onto the cord. I siliconed the cord in and it never leaked.
