Alright thanks Ill take a look at the that thread

*Edit* Your thread has to do with a sub problem I feel you ya

Mine has to do with the back speakers not working at all Im not sure if its the setup or what? I have a DFI ultra infinity board. And my center speaker only works when i hit matrix.

In the Sounds, Speech and Audio devices part of the control panel you have your Speaker Sound Setting set to 5.1 surround sound right? Just a thought.

Wierd, then it must be your onboard sound. Have you DLed the latest nforce drivers or whatever chipset your using?

I updated everything, turns out winamp only usess 4 of my speakers instead of 6.. is there a 5.1 setting for winamp?

For Winamp I think in options then preferences then output?

So everything works fine with say Media Player? Have you set Windows to 5.1? If it is still on the default Desktop theme for speakers then they will never work until you set it to 5.1 surround sound.

Err back.. Everything else works in 5.1 except winamp. I set the prefrences in winamp right. (I think) but It still uses no rear speakers. DivX plays right and so does windows media player

SO basically winamp is the only program not using the rear speakers

My counter-strike 1.5 only uses 2 speakers. But when I play UT 2003 It uses all of them. In winamp it also only uses 2 speakers. I have the soundstorm sound, and the same speakers...hummm

same cs and tfc are only using 2 but divx and windows media player uses all of them. winamp only uses 2 and AIM does also. Before I did a system restore (long story) like a day or 2 ago All the speakers were working perfectly
