hey guys!
is there any guides around showing how to make an image of a cd on a virtual drive so I don't have to use my game cd's in the drive all the time?
get Alcohol 120%!!! That will do the trick.

You need to use any recording program of your choice, and write to the "virtual recorder".
What application are you useing?
Daemon tools is a good application for loading the images from your HDD.

i think Virtual Cd is better. The only bad thing is, it costs some cash, but it worth it, it does everything, reads image from CD, writes image to CD, virtual drive, and much more.

never heard of this virtual cd ..
Alcohol 120% is not free but i got a trial download and when i looked in the reg files there was something and said non-pro and pro.. so i turned pro on and no pro off and i got full version.
but its all i relly need. i got a slow 48x cd reader.. need a 56x... and your hdd reads way faster then your cd will ever

Daemon tools loads the images, it doesn't rip them. Loading the image is like putting the disc in the drive.
So if you have the image of the disc already created using whatever recorder you prefer and writing to the virtual recorder, all you have to do is select one of the virtual daemon drives and tell it to mount the image file. Then you will be up and running.
