My multiplier is set by jumpers (currently at 136 x 12.0) this morning when i woke up an booted my machine MBM shows me @ 1090Mhz (136 x 8.0)????????????? and so does the initial boot screen that is weird~!
this happened once before and i had to redo the jumpers in a different config, then boot the machine and then redo the jumpers again to get back to my original 12.0 setting, why does it do this and has anyone else had the same problem?
very strange indeed.

ok update here.....
i just powered down the machine and booted it back up and it is now reading the 1632Mhz it is supposed to read, why on earth would it think the multiplier is set lower than it is....especially since this is a hardware setting?

very simple... you probably have a weak L1 bridge. If you used a pencil this is somthing a pencil is bad for, it erases. Try reconnecthing the L1, after that you'll need to go back to your bios and reclock the cpu once more.

Actually it turns out the multiplier dip switch has a bad switch pin on it, there are 5 little switches on the thing and the 4th one from the right (#4) is funky, i have to wiggle it to get it to stay in the 'on' position. thanks for the tip tho, I didnt have to do the 'unlock' thing to my chip it was unlocked out of the box.
