 Need some help or advice. Tried the pencil trick on my bird, connected all L1 bridges sucessfuly. No Change still 951mhz.
Decided to up my voltage on the other bridge connected with the pencil and upped it to the max,2.0. Still no change. Mobo is in a gateway god knows what board it is,but theree are no jumpers on the mobo. This mobo is to go to 1.3 gig according to tech. specs. Please Help. I know it can go to 1.3,just don't know how to get there.

Check my specs for my other bird, wish this bird would fly as good!

if the board doesn't have multiplier ajustments..and I doubt it does. then you have to cut the bridges and reconnect certain one to change the multiplier on the chip itself.

It is not the L1 bridges that change your multiplier they just unlock it they don't change it, this needs to be done in the bios or on the board via jumpers.

I believe it is the L7 bridges that need to be either connected or cut depending on the multiplier you desire.

Cutting bridges is where I draw the line by the way. But if you want to try it I believe anandTeck had a how to articule on it a while back.

That is how you adjust the mutli if your board don't support it. :p

Right off Tom's Hardware site.

L1 and L7 mods.

Hope this helps.
