I searched compaq's support site but I couldn't find much info on your board..or pc. Chances are, the BIOS on your motherboard does not support changes in FSB. Most OEM vendors do not want to incur the extra hardware expense and support related manhours required to add these features. Check out this Guide (http://www.overclockers.com/tips120/index06.asp) from the main page. It should answer a lot of questions. Good luck.

i found the multiplier settings would the jumpers for the fsb maybe be around the memory or something. Or around the processor.

If there are jumpers for FSB adjustment, there would probably be two or three with 66,100,133 listed next to them.
I've got a Presario 5170 that came with a P2 350. The max FSB for it is 100MHz so no overclocking for you or me with those boxes.
Build your own and overclock the bejeezuz out of it...

I can overclock it because the bus is 66 right now.
Ah...you might possibly be able to get quite a bit more out of that thing then. My 350 ran at 3.5 X 100 so I was stuck. You just might be able to get close to 450 with that.
Good luck!
