Hello eveyone

I bought a Optorite DD0405 last week. I was installing it last night and I get
"invalid data" message when instaling the drivers. I when to Optorite's website and downloaded the lastest driver, Intalled and I got the same message. My Device manager shows no info on the driver's tab, and it shows manufaturer as "Unknown". It used to have a "i" next to the DVD/CD tab.
Every time I boot the computer it show as if I just intalled the DVD drive and
wants to load the driver... I do have another DVD installed in the PC, they are installed as Primary and Secondary drives.. I am using Windows 2000.

Thanks for the help

Daniel

Have you installed sp4 for windows?
Have you tried using the second to last drivers that optorite put out for your burner?
The problem could also be the your windows os is corrupted, or, that the burner is defective.
I would also run chkdsk /r on the os.

Hello Urbancontra

I have installed SP4. I can not find the drivers before last.. Their site doesn't show much but the lastest and greatest ..lol
I just burned a DVD and it worked fine. but it is annoying eveytime I boot it wants to load the DVD and find new drivers..
I will check the harddrive ...

Thanks
