I have a swiftech copper cooler and a 92mm Denki fan 55cfm with a reducer to 80mm. My temps are 38c idle 43c peak I thought this fan heatsink would do it but I want it colder!! Its running @1.613 1.85v 147x11.5 What size pelter if any would do it. Also would it be a good Idea to apply silicon around the outside of the core about .5cm away between the heatsink and the cpu.

Most AMDs require a 156 or 172 watt peltier, and watercooling to go along side it. Most heatsinks can only cool an 80 or so watt peltier, any more and your temperatures would actually start to rise. It would probably be better for you to try watercooling, then peltiers if you're still not satisfied

ITs right, You will need a 156 or 172 watt peltier(172 very preferable) and that requires water cooling. If you want better temps you have the option of water cooling or putting a 68cfm delta screamer on that swifty.
Your current temps are so good that it leads me to believe you have some serious error in your socket thermistor or the algorithm that interprets it.
When figuring the value of a pelt, take the heat output of your processor and double it. If you want to overclock further because of the headroom from lower temps, add at least 100 MHz and some more voltage when you figure your CPUs heat output. Double this and will have the wattage of the pelt you need. I suspect a 172 watt pelt will be marginal and that dual 120s will be necessary for decent performance. Obviously you will need some serious watercooling.

I don't think I'm gona go with water yet, I think those temps are pretty accurate because in addition to using the hardware monitor that came with the IWILL I have a laser temp probe/gun I use at work. I had the beam on the side of the core between the heatsink and cpu. But if that's as cold as I can get it o-well I got the swiftech because tom's said it would keep it around 32c. I'm not that unhappy I'm still @1.6 I was thinking of running a duct through the side of the case using one of the bigger fans. I already went from a 80mm to a 92mm.
Once again I would like to thank all you guys. This forum is very helpful.

da biggest you can get (178) but you will need water cooling to cool it
