I was bored one day and playing with my compaq deskpro 486. I thought mayby I can OC it for the hell of it. It has an overdrive 66Mhz cpu. Is there anyway to OC a 486 on a processor board. I don't much about the computer but the compaq deskpros are pretty common so I thought Id ask if anyone has ever OCed one. I know it seems stupid but it would supply me with some fun if I ever get bored.

Overclocking really started becoming useful and the benefits noticeable in later Pentium chips... you'd probably be wasting your time.

Hehehehe...didn't you need to replace the clock generator crystal in a lot of old 386/486 motherboards in order to overclock?
