Anyone tried to put TEC on phase change head? If the phase change can get far below freez and the tec has delta temp about 60*C it could getthe cpu a real boost? What do u think????

TEC's lose efficiency as thier hot side temps drop. It'll end up being counter-productive.

Plus, it'll put out wayyyy more heat than a cpu, so you'd need a VERY powerful phase-change system.

Solid state cooling devices stop working correctly in ambient conditions of less than -40C.

Below this temp the cold side can actually start getting warmer.

plus, if you had a cooling system powerful enough to cool your cpu PLUS the head load of the pelt, wouldnt it just make more sense to put the first cooling system on the processor?

Not necesarily.

The first stage in a cascade could cool a cpu for sure, but it works better cooling the second stage.
