Hello,
I am considering replacing my Geforce 256 DDR Card, I need/or would really like to get the same features/more performance in a newer vid card, vivo most importantly. What is comparable or faster, cause this card can not be that bad yet can it?? I have upgraded system from a PIII700@ 933 to AMD 1.2 pc266 , 2 x 256 crucial pc2100 ram and MSI K7T266 Pro Raid Board (not oclocked yet). Guessing vid card will be my bottleneck right?
I have not overclocked this card yet, but read an article on this site where a guy attached PIII700 retail heatsink and fan and it improved the performance greatly. So I guess thats an alternative but I do not know if I want to be bothered.
Is it worth overclocking this card with the stock fan on it, I game a bit Unreal , UT , Quake 3, but plan to do more as soon as my kid gets a bit older lol (7months)
Whats a good alternantive to this card at a decent price, here is what I have looked at,but can any sdram vid cards outperform a ddr card with same amount of ram?? Cheapest card will get the vote with at least video in.
