View Full Version : lcd voltages?
Is there any sort of standard voltage for lcd monitors? I'm building a power supply for a portable system and I don't have the lcd yet. I'm likely going to go with a 14 or 15 inch, but the power supply must be done before I get it. I'm building the power supply to run off of 12V. I can potentially rebuild the power supply later, or leave space for the lcd power, but I'd at least like to know what it takes to power the average 14-15" lcd. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about standard voltages, I would be most come with an external AC-DC converter, but some may also have the converter internal. I checkout out sceptre's website and it looks like their's is AC-DC conveter with a 12v input...45watts for the 15" and 60 for the 19"
Check the manufacturer website most of them will say....heck even newegg shows it for some of em.
Thanks a lot! I'll do some research after class tomorrow.
