OK, what's the dealio? I'm running multiple CLI's and I've heard that SETI 1 will close soon. No big deal ... but ...
Can I run multiple instances of BOINC-SETI or is it SMP aware?
Will all of my SETI 1 credits transfer?
Is BOINC still in official "beta"?
Any idea when SETI 1 will die?
1) BOINC should automatically sense the number of CPUs you have and start the appropriate number of clients. For a dual box, it should start 2 instances of SETI right out of the box.
2) The guys at Berkeley took a snapshot of all user statistics about a month back if I remember, so all stats you had at that point have been transfered over.
3) Not sure. They have a "production" release for SETI 2 going, though on the BOINC (not SETI 2) main page it says that BOINC itself is in Beta still.
4) No idea at all. Berkeley says "soon", which from what we've seen from them could mean a few days to over a year

Just wanted to inject something about the credits - your old credits will be listed with your boinc stats, but they will not be added to with boinc. In other words you don't start where you left off in phase 1. Those stats are simply listed for posterity, but your boinc progress starts at zero.
