Hello all. Im rather disappointed with the overclockability of my new t-bird system. Im using an Epox 8k7a+, a 1.333 AYHJA, a GlobalWin FOP38, and a Crucial pc2100 256 meg stick. The ram only goes to about 145, doesn't matter what voltage is used for the ram. Multiplier goes to 10.5, and no more. I can boot at speeds between 1450 and 1500, but it locks after an hour or so (on what is normally a rock-stable system). 1500 or above, won't get through the boot process. At 1450 running the system at 100% load the temp is 52C, so is it a cooling problem? Also, doesnt Crucial ram generally get above 145? Any suggestions are welcome as to how I can get this system running faster (without expensive cooling solutions, ie pelt or water). Thank yas!

first of all the problem i see is that a FOP 38 will not handle that heat - the AHYJA stepping is tunning hotter than expected and the FOP's are not up the the currect CPU standards, try a Thermlriht SK-6 or mayne a WBK, or another S that I KNOW will do the job is the Akasa Silver Mountain - that get rid of some of that heat, lapp the HS and use good thermal paste

i think you should try burning the cpu at the highest o/c stable speed

hope it helps
