Well to all that helped out i'd like to say thanks. I've got a new board now and it works pretty well. It's an MSI K7T Turbo. Everything is find but I don't understand why it says that my cpu is so hot at startup. It's like 38 degrees celcius! On the other board it said 33 which is fine and that was at 1.85 volts but now not overclocked and at default voltage. Weird. Would 50 degress be too hot for a Duron?
Most people aim to have the processor at below 50 while under full load.
My Tbird is runing 46c loaded sometimes even 49c if the room temp is hot.
50c is okay. But it's getting to be boarder line hot.

You have a good board there!!, I have the same one. If you are running at 38c on start-up you are doing OK. I agree that 50c is on the verge of being too hot. There are alot of tweaks for this board including a MSI supported O/C BIOS. Good Luck!!

See the thing is that my processor is a duron 750 running at stock speed so it shouldn't be that high. Your running a TB so yeah it's ok but not a Duron 750.

The Duron's run hot to start with, What are your load temps? These are the important temps to watch out for.

It was the motherboard that was busted or??
50c max is ok, not in the danger zone as long as u dont start oc before u get a better heatsink.
Try getting something like glaciator or globalwin wbk38
