View Full Version : Getting really bad flucuations on my 12v and 5v rails, please help!
I just recently bought a Fortron 550, and I'm getting really bad flucuations on my 12v and 5v rails. My 12v rail is hanging around 13.7v and my 5v rail is hanging around 6.4v. I can't figure out what is going on. Do I need to RMA my PSU or is there something else that could be causing this? It's making my rig act really wierd. I've checked my rails with a DMM and those readings are what I got.

I would RMA it ASAP - those voltages are way too high.
Well I threw my old Antec 430Watt back in there and my rails have returned to normal. Wow I'm really disapointed in my Fortron right now. I'll call Forton Supply Source on Tuesday and see if they can recommend anything. I suppose it's possible that the pots weren't adjusted correctly when it was manufactured, but I doubt it. I'll most likely RMA it. I'm just praying that it hasn't messed anything up in my system. I'm going to be really ticked if it's messed up my P4. GRRR....
Whats wrong with ur Antec TP 430W? It should be enough for ur righ.
