I decided that instead of buying new comp speakers I am going to get a HT Receiver and a pair of speakers. I'm going to get the HKB 6 from ebay, but i don't know what receiver to get.

I found a SHERWOOD RD-7103 with a buy it now price of $65 on ebay and it'll probably end at much less. Would this be ok for an entry-level speaker system?

P.S: What cable to I need to hook the receiver up via the SPIDF on my pc?

Thanks, Jonathan.

That reciever should work fine as long as it is in good working order.

You will need either a toslink (optical) or coaxial digital cable to hook the receiver up to the PC, depending on the connectivity options provided by your soundcard. The Sherwood has inputs for either format.
