I don't think it really needs it. You may try something like mothers polish to give it that mirror like finish.

I lapped mine, it just needed a touch of 600. Make sure that the surface you are going to use is very flat - like plate glass on a clean level surface...

I too lapped it stopping at 1000 grit. Mine had alot of scratches on it when it arrived and definitely needed it.

yes mothers rocks! i love that stuff for soft metal. only use it at the last step though. it will make even deep scatches look good:) had a polished alumin frame and swing arm on my dirt bike

Yeah Mothers is the best phantom punisher I just wish I could find my little tub of it :mad: I guess I'll have to go get some more.

Im querying could you use household brasso to improve or lapp the copper of a water block or would there be no effect as i use it to clean cd scratches ????????
