So the attached picture is an idea I've had floating around for a while. I've been using a criticool powerplant resevoir, and I have a few problems with it:
*The flat top makes it very hard for bubbles to escape
*The design creates a vortex within the res. that allows air bubbles to come out the intake of the resevoir and get immediatly sucked out the other end back into the system.

what I think this idea would do is twofold:
*prevent vortex with the wall running down the middle
*allow for much easier bleeding with the sloped roof
*The Y connector at the top would allow for filling through one hole and air bleeding through the other so the water will pour faster.

what do you guys think?

it may hurt flow, hmm.....Maybe if the u turn was big enough, like with a 2" diameter or something, then it wouldn't be such a big deal. hmm...anyone have input?

There's already a commercial version of this available, you can try looking for reviews for some feedback.

You can also try something like this (it's a bit simpler):
