Is there any guide that shows how to paint the insides of a case such as drives cages, etc? All I see are how to paint the side panels. I'm thinking I just need to rough up the metal so the primer sticks, spray primer. Let it dry, rough it up (sanding evenly is kinda hard on uneven surfaces like drive cages), then spray one coat of paint. Anyone?

You still follow the same basic principal. No you can't use a sanding block on it cause it will be too hard. If you want it done right you will have to sand by hand. The trick is to do lots of thin coats instead of one big one. This will keep you from getting dripping and uneaven spots. I still suggest sanding inbetween coats and all that mess. If you think it is too much of a hassel to do that then you can do what a few people have suggested and that is do one thin coat first and then do one pretty thick coat after it has dried. I do not have any experience with it and it may or may not work for you. Good luck on your painting. I have painted 6 cases inside and out and I have not had any problems with the way I do it (takes longer, but worth the time in the end)

if you havent done much painting before, Id recommend that you either not paint your case, or try it slowly by doing certain parts a time. I attempted to paint my case inside and out, and by the end I was so fed up that I just assembled it without completing it... reason: with mulitple coats comes days and days and days of waiting.... you are looking at over a month of painting and work. If I had to do it again.. I wouldnt... but maybe you asre more patient then I am.
