New Problem

Recently up graded to 1300 amd processor was only able to get 1200 now when windows boots i get a message"Windows encountered an error accessing the system registry Windows will restart andrepair the system registry for you" This has happened three times in a row what can it be or how can I fix it Windows 98 asus mother board I have run everything I have norton and scandisk both say no problem any Ideas.

do a proper format and don't forget the fdisk, then try reinstalling windows and don't use anything below win2k. (9x and Me are not recommended at all)

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that got alot of stuff ide like to keep bummer. Any other ideas like restoreing the registry from windows

You can try running scanreg from outside windows.
If thats no help you can boot from a floppy and delete the windows directory and the windows files in the root directory and then reinstall.
