Hi, i recently bought the stupid gigabyte GA-7IXE4 mobo (wish i hadnt, this is the worst purchase i ever bought), and you cant adjust pretty much anything on the board from what i can see (Vcore, multiplier etc.).

And i wondered if anyone had any ideas on how i could modify the board or chip to allow more flexibility on overclocking my CPU.

By the way i am using a duron 850 with the mobo.

Any ideas anyone?

:D

If it's not too much of a hassle, you can close the bridges on the chip to adjust multiplier and core voltage. The mobo won't do much over 110Mhz max so your best and easiest bet it to do the above or get a "Golden Socket" from www.goldensocket.com I think. They're about $50 so your probly better off selling the mobo to someone who don't have a clue/don't care and getting a cheap board with more o/c'ing features.
