getting a couple of these and unfortuantly my mobo has no pci-x so what would be a great pci card for it.

Many of the good SCSI cards are backwards compatible with old-but-reliable PCI buses. For the money, and assuming you are not yet doing any fancy RAID, the LSI cards work really well.
As you can see on my SIG, I am also running SCSI. My LSI card works great (new system pull from Dell server - got it on Ebay for about $80).
By the way, those HD's are pretty awesome - I have the 36.7GB version :)

It is backwards compatible to 32/33 PCI as seen in the support here:

It's probably the best deal going. Includes one cable and terminator.
