I have a duron laying around, this is what's in the middle:
D700AUT1B
AKCAR 0046AMW
93056260978
That's the center core reading on the chip.
Duron or Tbirb, try to get the first digit on the third line to be a
letter.( like Y) The rest are # like 9. Tha letters seem to overclock
a lot more. My Abit KT7A has worked like a charm, but as time
progesses, other board begin to catch my eye. It's just simply up to you, and how much do you what to spend.

1 gig AVIA or 1 gig AXIA with a y or k on the 3rd line. These are dirt cheap now and very overclockable. This pic will show what steppings mean. I wonder if this will get wore out?
