Terrible problem...

Hey all,
was hoping someone could help with a little problem. I was playing farcry just a few minutes ago when I heard this pop sound from my case and the computer went caput. The hd light was still on till i unplugged the power. When I plug in the power it shows power getting to the mobo but no boot. Any ideas? I think its the same rig as in my sig except I have a 9800 pro iceq. Thanks a ton!

New developments, I put another ps in there and it booted, but now I get a bunch of short fast beeps??

the beeps probably mean something read through your motherboard manual to find out. If you can't find anything in your manual just tell me what bios you have.

It is the asus a7n8x deluxe, not real sure of the bios on that board.

figure out the bios brand (Awand, Ami) and you should be able to tell what the beeps are telling you.
