Hmm, I dont see anything malicious there... just AIM, McAfee and various useless programs... messenger etc. I would just go through, run adaware, spybot, check msconfig and see what is starting up, and go through the services too and check those.

Internet Explorer ;-)

kidding...kinda

I'd start with getting rid of

Also I noticed that you have the Verizon software installed. Last week I set up a friends DSL. It was an old box with the least amount posible...just enough to get on line. At least as far as for cable. When I went to install the DSL with Verizon's software, it said that the machine was not up to snuff. So, I called customer service to say to them that just earlier that day I had it as part of my network at home. The girl on the phone said..."Nope...that machine won't do it." So, I said to her..."Well, can you just humor me and help me with a work around." After a BUNCH of coaxing, she finally came through.(I think she just got tired of me) What I learned from this was, all you need to connect to their service is WinPOET installed.

BTW...that machine of my friends...it works perfectly.

nice good to know. I got rid of 08, I noticed it after I posted. This machine is heavily infected with adware, so it's just a matter of getting rid of every trace, and geting it back up to snuff.

Just like nikhsub1 said, Adaware6 and spybot do a great job of this and are free.

If you don't have an AV program, do a google search for Free-AVG. It's a pretty good little proggy for free.
