When i first made my copper block, it had all this green stuff on it.
Like the statue of lib, now I left a shaving of copper in the water
resovoir to see what would happen to it. It turned that greeny
colour. Lately (after 3 months of use) I have noticed that the cpu
temps are higher. Could this be attributed to that green stuff
forming in the inside of my copper block ,a nd thus reducing heat
transfer?

Thanks
Fisco.

Doh. Looks like you have some sorta chemical reaction happening here...
All you can do is clean it every now and then.......
(If cleaning it the old fashioned way doesnt help, sand it...)

it is probably Copper(I) Oxide or something very close to it. Put some water wetter in it with a little bit of antifreeze and it should stop that.

Whoo, hooo! Copper Oxide!

Yup, the green stuff is copper oxide, better clean that badboy out and put some waterwetter/antifreeze in your H2O.

Your copper was showing signs of corrosion. Yep.
