How much is the board runing you?

Looks like a really kick butt system.

Wanna join our folding team with that monster?

Board ran me $150 from componentsdirect.com

Well the thing is I'd love to join these team but I am on a dialup connection 56k usr performance pro modem.... I shudder at the thought of paying for every phone call to connect and get data sets during the day while I am at work..... Is there a way to connect once a day and get a ton of data to last me awhile?

You pay to conect to the net each time you dial up?

wow, :( where do you live?

Most local phone services charge a per call rate. For example my phone service through Ameritech charges me $0.15 per local phone call. So if I set it to autoconnect and it connects 10 times per day thats over a dollar a day.....

I have almost the same system except with a lot more airflow :)
I don't need raid because I don't do many transfers or serving. I got all my stuff in within 4 business days but my mobo is taking 2 weeks.

edit: oh yes and I probably paid 300 dollars less than ya :D ($740 without shipping, $812 with)

In that case, you can set up say. 4 folding clients on your box. Then dial up will connect and download work for all 4 of them.

You should complete all 4 in about 4x4 hours. By which time you'll be back home for sure.

More clients would do the trick for sure.

I bought some Samsung PC1066 RDRAM modules from componentsdirect.com and they were remarked PC800. They tried to be clever by sticking a "Warranty Void if Removed" sticker over the part of the label that said PC800. They wouldn't run at 533FSB. After several phone calls, they've agreed to send me some Kingston modules instead.

DON'T BUY FROM COMPONENTSDIRECT.COM

Here's what the Better Business Bureau has to say abou them.

Bureau File Experience

We rate this company as having an unsatisfactory business performance record based on a pattern of unanswered customer complaints. Some complainants allege the company fails to deliver ordered products. Other customers complain the company fails to issue refunds for returns or cancelled orders. The company responds to some complaints by shipping late orders, or, in some cases issuing requested refunds. A few complaints are closed as disputed, the customers are not always satisfied with the company's response. Many other complaints remain unanswered. The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or dissapprove of any company, product or service

I have a really stupid question, why did you get the T-Bird over an XP 1600 that will easily clock to 1800 on air?
