I hear sometimes people running "farms" for seti and folding, but I never really seen or heard of one yet.
so I am just curious, how far people from our team really go to get the WU's done.

so how many you running?

total GHZ?

total WU's produced in a day?

Last-whats your power bill like? :D

Curently running on 11 PC's (5 in one room :) )

A full 25.0 Ghz of crunching power producing about 110 units per day.

Electricity? I never directly calculated the power bill. I know my heating bill went down a bunch, but that was probably offset by the summertime air conditioner bill. I save on the power bill by using only 2 monitors for the whole thing, access the other pc's using realVNC, and turn off the monitors unless they are actively in use.

My XP1700 machines save on power by using very small powersupplies, no floppy, no cd, no monitor.

Best production comes from the P4C units running HyperThreading.

25 ghz just sounds insane.

Quite a few of us have a dozen or more running. Take a look at the top 2 members - they're producing hundreds of classic seti units per day.

I've been away for a few days... my comps are in my sig. Running @ 9.25ghz and they put out about 38 wu a day (that's with me playing games on the 2.4c). I figure it costs about $15 a month to run these machines 24/7. Would probably cost slightly less if I (and the wife) wouldn't play games all the time (wife plays on the 2.53 and it really kills it's average for the day). :)

I used to have a total of 8.397 Ghz on 6 systems....now I have 5.327 on classic seti as I retired one system from seti in general and put two others, my main rig and my laptop, onto the BOINC system now.....
