Lite-On SOHW-812s to SOHW-832s

I just got my SOHW-812s burner and was reading about flashing it to SOHW-832s. I downloaded the files needed and crossed my fingers. Success!!! It's now an SOHW-832S with DL burning capabilities!!! :santa: it's christmas!

Nice! What extra features does it give you? Forgive me if this is an obvious question but what are "DL burning capabilities"?

It gives me Dual Layer burning capabilities for Dual Layer discs that can store twice as much at around 8.5GB I think it is. The burn time is slower (2.4x) for these disc but it's cool to be able to burn a DVD as they were meant to be...DL.

Ahhh ... I see. I just got a DVDR but i dont think its dual layer.
