i just got my 800 celeron to 1.3 and can go higher. I think 1.7 I have 768mb of Pc-133 generic ram. i realy reconmmend this junk. great! And best of all. People who dont mind loud computer, play loud mp3's, and like fast computers, i would defintely recomend the sk-6 heat sink with the delta fan option. It's the best. Heat sink it same temp as room temp. Awsome.
if you have any questions e-mail me at greenwalk50@hotmail.com

Well done!
Plz, can you post a pic of WcpuID or a benchmark of Sisoft Sandra to show all guys your really impressive OC?
About your cooler, well, it's really one of the best way to go at the moment ;)

Wow that a good overclock, can you tell us any more imformation about the PC 133 memory ot tell us what make it is, and could you show some SI-Sandra benchmarks please

i will post the results as soon as possible. Thx for the complements. Pray I can go higher.

I wanna see the specs on that CPU and a benchmark. Not to call him a liar but thats rather high. Is their a cD0 out now in the 800 celeron. As a matter of fact I am not calling this guy a liar but thats one hell of an oc if he pulled it off. Watch those temps. Sounds like that core is close to burn on an OC like that.
Yes cDO celeron 800s are available and will do 1200+mhz without a problem.

Hey William? see? where? I cant see anything exepct some ppl typing in 1.3 and 1.7 and posting it in a message :)..hehe in reality, i dont think itll get more then 1.4 tops with aircooling if it did then intel would still have a P3 line with 0.18 cores.
Thermalright sk6? - you mean Vapochill right?

Nope. Air cooling only!!! you would be surpised what that delta fan option can do baby. It rocks!!! I want to post the benchmarks but how? i dont have a digital camera or anything??? Help plzzz! I realy want to show off it. LOL

That sucks...depending on what video card you have. My celeron makes 4600 at 1062Mhz with my GeForce2MX.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the SK-6 has a mounting problem -- the bottom edge of the side of the sink that gets close to the side on the socket that says PGA370 might actaully be touching that. Just check.
Mad Butter
08-23-01, 11:20 AM
k. thanks! The heat sink actaully hangs over my cpu and little bite. not much. Maybe that why. Is the voodo 5 good?/ It rocks major butt in games. The effects are awsome. Wonder why it isn't doing so great at 3dmark 2000

VooDoo's have a habit of sucking in benchmarks but play just fine in games. I'm not sure of your score though -- might want to wait to see what other people have been getting or go to madonion.com and check yourself.

I think that a P/// 750 is stronger than a cellie 800, coz it works very well with 133Mhz of Fsb and more, and also, at the same speed a P/// is 150-200Mhz up to a Cellie.

There is great screen capture software available FREE from Analog X (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/system/capture.htm) which creates a JPEG file that can be posted here or placed in a zip file for forum users to download and view
I personally would like to benchmarks for 3D Mark 2001 (http://www.madonion.com/entry.shtml) and benchmarks from SI-Sandra (http://www.sisoftware.co.uk/sandra) especially the memory benchmarks.

A Celeron 800 works with a Fsb of 100Mhz and a Multiplier of 8x, so to obtain the Fsb used at 1.3Ghz you must divide 1300 by 8, obtaining 162.5Mhz of Fsb.
I hope it helps you :)

Although I am now aware thanks to you that cDO celeron 800s are available and will do 1200+mhz without a problem. However this machine runs 768mb of Pc-133 generic ram which makes me slightly suspect as there must also be at least two sticks of memory to make up the 768mb and was wondering what are the chances of finding not one but at least two sticks of Pc-133 generic ram good enough to run at the required 160+mhz to obtain this overclock
I am not calling anyone a liar or even disputing anyones claims, I would just like more information on this oustanding achievement.
SI Sandra, CPU and memory benchmarks not to mention 3Dmark2001 would be nice
I got 4500 in 3dmark 2000. I have a voodoo 4 4500 with 32meg and a p3 700@933 at the time. Why do yo find it funy or cool to lie about this overclock?

I don't think that most people find it amusing to make false claims and even more so it does not matter to most people. I do however think a boasting post, which this appears to be by making the statement "smoked you all" should provide at least some evidence other than the typed word. I personally find the ram situation suspect along with the lack of evidence presented so far. This systems performance claims make it faster than any Celeron 800 in the CPU database and even running with 2.2 volts the highest posted speed to date is 1280 while with no presentable evidence this system claims 1300 with a heatsink at room temprature and a belief that 1700 mhz is obtainable
SI Sandra CPU and Memory benchmarks please :)

Lets analise these facts:
At 1.7Ghz the FSB would have to be at 212,5 with 8x multiplier...
Its more than 2 times the original speed...
Find that very hard to believe!!! Im not saying its impossible... if you live in the Antartic... :D
But if you prove that im wrong, acept my apologies in advance!
I need to see it to believe it...

I'm not sure how to get the results of how i overl****ed it to the internet. All i know is this. i went into my bios and this is what i got. FSB 125 and the multiplier 11 ands the core voltage is 1.95
Figure it out. 125x11 is 1,375
that is what I got!
-evan
What motherboard are you running? And unless you have an engineering sample the mulitplier cannot be changed from 8.
Mad Butter
08-24-01, 12:26 PM
My brother put everything together and I watched him change the multiplier speed to 11. I am using a BX-133 raid abit motherboard. Any other questions.

Ditto my comments on the other post.
This is not possible. Period.
Because multiplier is locked changing it to 11 doesn't do anything. So it seems that you could actually be running 1 GHz (8x125MHz). That would explain the 3D Mark result and memory.

I've made 1.1Ghz from my celeron with a FOP32-1. I wonder what better cooling would do :)

If your brother is such a good oc, then you can ask him how he cracked the multiplier!!!
What configuration did he used to put it at 1.7Ghz???
TheCrow
08-24-01, 03:50 PM
And by the way Mad Butter, why havent you posted and atached a picture of Sisoft Sandra to prove it???
Since its soooooooo easy to do a print screen (imagine that, there is a keyboard key that says just that "Print Screen"), and simply paste it to Paint (go figure this out, theres a little aplication in MSWindows that has the same name), and just cut it so we all can see it on your post!!!!!
One at your current speed - 1375 Mhz - and another at the speed that you sayd your brother put the celery at! - 1.7 Ghz...
Im shore that all here at forums would like to see that!!!

I would still like to see some benchmarks of this multiplier unlocked Celeron as I find myself getting more suspect as the thread goes on.. perhaps the topic title should be changed to "somethings being smoked?" :)
AmbientFiction
08-24-01, 06:43 PM
Come on guys your doing it all wrong to cap the screen all you have to do is hit alt+print scrn buttons. Then paste it into Jasc or some other photoshop and save as a gif 600x600 or less that is as much as the fourms can take. And I want to see some SisSoft benchmarks. I find it to be very rare that that CPU is really doing that and if it is its right at the point of burning up with air cooling if that CPU is doing that speed then it will be toast in a few days maybe even less.

OK an air cooled system with a OC of 212% of the original speed. And the chip is an early production chip which still should have flaws. At first I believed 1300 on 8x but theirs no way someone could get a 800 celeron unlocked and up to 1700 without even knowing how to save a file and post it. At least he didn't say he used his original heatsink and fan.
I not trying at all to seem mean for all the kid knows he could really think he got to 1700 but if he did say he did a benchmark then there's no excuse to lie.
