Is the 256 meg 9800 pro or the 128 meg better? I remember reading about the 256 having crappier ram but its been a while since i read that. thanks.

more is better yes but thats not always the case. i rather have less ram but high quallity than twice as much but crappier. i was just wondering if anyone could verify this or show me comparisons or anything.

I would go for 128mb now since its cheaper. You can pickup the Sapphire 9800pro 128mb on newegg for 199(not sure if its still at 199) and you might get the R360 core. I myself have the Sapphire 9800pro 128mb with black pcb (r350 core) and I am able to exceed XT speeds with no artifacting with my new cooler installed(plan to flash it when I get a chance).

Im not paying. im winning them at a lan. I'm lookin to see which ones better. first place prize is an athlon 64 3400+ and a 256 meg 9800 pro. 2nd place is a 128 meg 9800 pro an athlon 64 3200+ and dsp-500's. i need to know if i need to throw away the finals match so i get the better 9800 pro.

well future games will use more ram - if it is overclocking you want - the 128mb seem to do better - if no over clocking - get the 256mb and be set for future games :d
