I have a GE Digital Multi-meter. Can anyone tell me what symbol to set the knob to? or any insights cause i want to measure the 12v, 3.3v and 5v line. Thankls for any help.

Find the part that measures DC volts, NOT amps/resistance/AC volts/etc. Set it to the next highest voltage after what voltage you expect - e.g. for those voltages, if your multimeter has a 20 VDC setting on it, set it to that. Or as another example, if you wanted to measure your American 120V AC wall power, if your multimeter had a 200V setting, you would want to set it to that. (20 VDC should work for all of those voltages.)
