Unlocked or not?

Humm, I have a strange feeling my 1.4 tbird is unlocked, the only space I see is between the L1 bridge and the L3 bridge. The lines are very small but tehy seem to be fine, is there somthing I am missing? Is it just normal paint to fool me or what?

T-birds above 1.2Ghz are usually unlocked.

ok, anyways, should I take the sticker that's on teh bottom on my chip? It's not touching the pins but will it heat up and melt or what? And what about the 4 cirle pads? they stay right? lol, this is somthign I saw on what NOT to ever do but I am just making sure, so right?

my chip is week 26 by the way, is there a significance?

I left the sticker on my Duron, and it seems to cause no problems.

You probably want to leave those pads on there, becauese they help the HSF sit down level so you don't crack your core, which usually kills processors.

And the week it is can tell how fast it'll overclock, if you compare it to other chips of the same stepping and week. You can try to check the processor database on the main page.

if my cpu is locked will you actaully see a space? because tehy look connected to me, no back, it is a gigly line, any1?

If it's locked, the L1 bridges will be separeted. If the CPU is unlocked, the L1 bridges will all be connected together. And like Superman53142 and snookhook said, the newer chips are factory unlocked, so I wouldn't worry about that !

All 1.3+ is factory unlocked. i just revieved mine for 15mins ago too, it was unlocked:))
