windows xp error code 7 when tryin to install.

i keep on geting this error,

The file I386\Ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. The error code is 7.

its a brand new system, with new stuff except floppy and cd burner.
i am thinking it may be my xp disc, and i am tryin to borrow a friends but of course using my cd key.

could be a number of things,,,,,,,
bad mem
bad psu
bad snd card
bad vid card
don't be oc'd when installing, run stock
yes it could be bad media

try diff memory
take out any uneccesary cards

i just got it to work, and the thing is it seems to be my new dvd rom..... i am without for a few.
