Hey, my display Control Panel is gone!

win98 usually works fine for me, but sometimes it pulls crap like this and all I can think of is "Linux Time!!!"

Anyway, I cannot get my Display control panel to come up at all. It worked before, then I uninstalled some game demos, and now it is gone. Neither Right clicks on Background nor entry thru Control Panel do anything.

Reboots don't help. Desk.cpl is right where it should be, and the control.ini looks fine to me. No errors, you click and nothing happens.

Help!! I need this back!

Hey, thanks for that link! I sure hope you didn't slog thru the MS hellhole website on my account!

Turns out the problem was I removed MSI 3Dturbo, a worthless program I never use that came with my MSI Geforce GTS. Apparently it took desk.cpl funcionality with it. Reinstalled it, an all is well.
