hi all i know this belongs in the motherboard section but i posted there and didnt get many replys :( my problem is i have an abit th7-raid mobo and a P4 1.7ghz, in the bios it allows me to choose the speed of my cpu all the way up to 4000mhz, but there is no setting for me to change the fsb, all it does when i select 2000mhz is change the multiplier, which does nothing sence mine is locked! does anyone know what i could possibly do? i have read and re-read my motherboard manual and cant find anything
:(, btw this is a home built pc. any help or comments are greatly appreciated!

you can only change the fsb (front side bus)
look in the bios, if the motherboard is not 'jumper free' look on the pcb of the motherboard.
good luck

go here, this is the manual in .pdf (acrobat reader)
http://ftp2.abit.com.tw/download/manual/english/th7-ii.pdf
you'll find how do change the fsb in there
