View Full Version : Idea for a DIY water cooling system. Will it work?

Here's my idea, in two diagrams. A normal heatsink would be used; my CAK38 in this situation, with a mini water tank constructed around it. Water flows through the heatsink fins, out the other side, and is cooled by the hose splitting off into many different tributaries (maybe made out of metal) which are cooled by a fan. Do you think it would work?

Hmm...that looks like it's exactly the same thing as my idea! I knew it, I'm simply brilliant :p
Oooooo! I just got another idea! add a peltier to each side of the water tank and put a HSF outside the case on each edge...I gotta start designing this thing so I can cut up my case...how much does a low budget peltier cost, anyway?
