I have a Azza 693ATX mobo and I was wondering how to take it above 133 fsb. The manual only shows jumper setting up to 133. ABIT mobos etc are the same and people can take them above 133 fsb. Any tips?
I did a little more reading and found out that 133 is as high as it will go...guess its time for a new mobo

Hi Thirus44,
the only way you've is to take a look into Bios for the Fsb or Cpu freq. settings, or try with a Bios upgrade.
I hope it helps you :)

After taken a look to your Mobo manual, I suggest you to go into the Bios section 'Chipset Feature Setup' and try modifying the 'Cpu Host/Pci clock', it seems to be what are you looking for.
If interested this is the last Bios upgrade for your Mobo ;)

With moding that bios setting...what should it mod it to?

It's the way to rise the Fsb (System Bus) that with the Multiplier of the chip, that is locked, gives the Chip frequency:
Fsb * Multip. = Cpu Frequency

Hey I got it. Thanks a ton. Im gonna see how far i can push it without having to buy a new heatsink and fan. I got 140 easy gonna try 150. Any good programs I can use to push the cpu hard and see if it will hold up?:D

Hey one more quick question. I tried to take it to 150 mhz but it froze in the windows splash screen. Does this mean I should increase my voltage core or that I need more cooling? Or both?

Yep both is the answer if you raise CV and your CPU gets hot it may not only lock up your CPU it could damage it also. Cooling is the key. HEY check out the SETI forum we could always use a new member and it works great for burning in which may also help with your stability at higher FSB settings.

Now now outhouse we should at least try and plug both teams here. We can all live in happieness :) Yes both Seti and Folding at home are the two best benchmarks I have found. They cause your cpu load to be 100% at all times when they run but never take more than you system needs to run programs that you have open or open while their running.

You're wellcome Thirus44,
At this point I suggest you to monitor your system temps with MotherBoardMonitor that you found at http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ and remember, your chips temp never must go over 50 degree C.
I hope it helps you ;)
