Just unlocked my Duron 750, and have it running fine at 850MHz (8.5 x 100). It doesn boot up with any higher multiplier setting, so I guess to take it higher I'm gonna need to increase the Vcore(?).
I've got a 300w psu so that won't be a problem, but as you fry the cpu instantly w/too higher voltage I wanted to check how to go about it., because my multiplier is set via a dip switch and my Vcore in the bios only. So would it be safe to boot up, increment the Vcore a little, shutdown, up the multiplier, see if it works.
If so > test stability > repeat
If not > increment the Vcore again, shutdown and see if it boots @ the higher speed.
That sound alright?

Also, my motherboard can hanlde 266 FSB, so if I increase my FSB to 266 / 133 cpu clck then the only thing being overclocked is the cpu right? The pci clock speed for 133 is the same as 100 (33.3) so that stuff will be fine. Does anything else get affected by the FSB speed?

Cheers, just what I wanted to know = One more thing.
I get the following results changing the miltiplier w/default Vcore.
8.0 = doesnt boot
8.5 = 850
9.0 = 750
9.5 = 750
10.0 = 850

Kinda wondering wtf's going on there, mebbe I didn't unlock it properly? Or is it jus reverting to default clock due to low Vcore or sumtink. default Vcore = 1.6v.
