FarCry is scaring me...

This game is freaky, I mean the AI is so clever.
I've just got onto the treehouse and the trigens are making me paranoid.

Just found the dead scientist, and I can hear helicopters and gunfire..

Any tips for me to help me along?

if you run into some trigen fighting some other, human baddies, just stand back and watch from a distance.
Usualy the trigen win, but now you have no humans to worry about, and some injured trigen to fight,

I kill the trigens while the soldiers are fighting them. Soldiers = easier to kill than trigens. Soldier AI is actually super easy to figure out. Basically all they do is move to the nearest object that removes them from your line of sight and pop out every couple of seconds.

The difficulty I played on (next one up from the easiest) they didn't flank me or anything. They'd either hide from my line of sight or just run right for me through some bushes. Trigens just come after your arse.

You are required to use your shot gun and grenades on the trigens. And trust me, there are some more super freaky parts.

I keep using the M4 in single shot and going for headshots.
I haven't got the shotgun yet. I've only got machette, pistol, m4 and sniper.

Do flashbangs have any use?

i ditched the machete and handgun early, the m4 is a POS, and i didnt really use the shot gun. i used that one gun that holds 50 bullets all game...i 4get the name, you should havee it by now...drop the machete n get it already.

flash bangs will come in handy when u gotta deal with the SWAT dudes.

believe that is the P90 Drec is talking about. Havent beat FarCry yet, hardly into it, but i love the P90 already.

na the P90 owns the M4. and it holds 50 rounds per clip which is usefull vs. trigens..t really suck when you run outta ammo n need to reload when theres a trigen infront of you, its alot quieter too. more accurate...all around a better weapon.

Really? I'm pretty good with the M4 because I go more for kill shots then several random shots.

the P90 and the MP5 use the same ammo..P90 > MP5 so drop the MP5 if you have it.

M4, AG36, and OCIW all use the same ammo OCIW > AG36 > M4, again only keep one of these.

then the shotgun and sniper, or rocket launcher instead of sniper. :thup:

you get the M249 at pretty much the end of the game, drop the sniper for it, since after you get this its pretty much all out trigen killing war time, no room for snipers.

The m4 pwns, you just gotta aim for the head(I guess CS players just like to get them headshots, Halo too!!). Even though they carry the same ammo, the rpg on the OCIW pwns so you can carry both at the same time. P90 just fires too fast and isn't controllable to me. Like 4 headshots to the BEASTLY trigens kills em with a sniper so it is just as handy as the rocket launcher. Once you get the Saw or mg249 whatever, it is time to ditch the m4. This thing is beastly. Have fun.

I've got a good shot I think, from playing RavenShield non-stop for hours on end I think.
