I have a really interesting tread to post. I have posted several treads relating to the issue of power supplies when running these fast T-Bird processors (ie 1.333 and above).

If you have read an earlier post I purchased an Sparkle 400Watt PSU to go into my 1.4 AMD based system. The older PSU a 300 WATTER only allowed me to overclock my CPU to 1.57 (see signature) has my 5Volt rail was pretty low 4.7 and lower. However after setting up my new PSU 400Watt I booted up the system and now my 5volt rail is 5.20. I started to get very excited has I knew that my 300Watt PSU was the limiting factor which was preventing me overclocking my CPU to higher speeds. So to cut a long story short I am now running at 1.67 Ghz (12.5 * 134)...wahoooooooooooo...........

Guys if you's are having similar problems you might think of buying a new PSU...........

Wahooooooo.......1.67 aiming for 1.7 +..........

The little T-Bird that could!!!!!

connecting two is a good idea, but it isn't as good as getting one good 400w psu. why? cause if you look at your ps You should see a listing that tells you the max ampage for each voltage. cpu's (or at least amd's) use the 5v rail. a 250w will likely only be able to provide a max of like 110w max. a good 400w will be able to do 175~210w on the 5v rail.
