Try the 7-volt mod and reduce the RPM a few thousand and it quiets that little screamer. My temps only rose 1c when I did this.

I am interested in the 7 volt mod for my Delta38, where can I find an article about this? or can you briefly explain it? thanks

On each 4-pin connector there is 2 black wires and a red one and a yellow one.
both black=ground
yellow=12 volt
red=5 volt

The Delta + wire NORMALY connects to the yellow on the 4-pin connector from your powersupply and it's - connects to the black wire. For the 7 volt mod attach the ground from the Delta to the 5 volt connector and leave the + wire on the yellow wire and now you have a Delta running at 7 volts. I hope I explained this well. Good Luck.

What if it's the 3 pin connector? Is there a 7volt mod for that mofro?

the delta has a 3-pin, connect the red wire from the Delta to the yellow wire on the P/S. Connect the black wire from the Delta to the red wire on the P/S. The 3rd wire is a RPM monitor wire and is not used, there is a mod for this to still work but I am unable to make it work.

thanks, I wonder how the delta will perform after this mod? what its cfm and rpm? cuz I am using a 80mm fan right now with about 34 -35 cfm and 2900 rpm.. I wouldn't want to change back to the delta if the 80mm perform better

Mine performed well, I have since switched it back cause I am getting redy to up the FSB to insane levels (I hope!!) I can live with the noise. I do not know the exact CFM after the mod but Mine ran about 5-6k RPM.

Hey Trancebear,
Do you work for the "Evil Empire"? If so, do you think MS will ever adopt a Linux base OS? Totally off topic I know, but I just realized your location.

My M$ girlie friend resides at the evil empire, I just build marine engines. She is a test engineer for the XP project.
