After building my first computer a year ago and being on a very tight budget. I bought a very cheap case. I want to quiet down my computer by adding some better airflow so I can have less fans and hopefully fix my hard drive vibration. Here is my case Click Here for Pictures (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=11-156-106&DEPA=1).

I am thinking of putting a 120mm fan in the front for intake instead of the 4 80mm fans. So I would cut out most of the metal and add a fan grill for easier air passage and have a nice intake comming in.

Then on the top I was thinking adding a 80mm fan for a blow hole between the psu and the cd drive cage. Maybe even 2 80mm at the top. I don't think I want to add a 120mm at the top because it might get tight w/the psu and the cd drives.

I might add a window so I can make sure things are working right and so it would look cool.

And last I'm looking at changing the back 60mm to a 80mm but no ideas come to mind on how to so if anyone has any ideas.

OOPS... one more thing instead of screwing the hard drive in I was thinking of tieing some elastic string stuff on the top and bottom so I would thread it through the screw holes tie knots so they don't fall out then so the hard drive is between string kinda stuff for cushion. Is that a good idea or will it cause static or something?

Please note any changes or ideas you have for me and my case. (and hopefully the link works :-/ )

Very nice case. I think the 120 in the front will be better. I also think windows are a must. I've heard of people using elastics for there drives, I don't know about the static problem but I've seen people use zip ties as well. Could be an alternative.

Does anyone else have any ideas? Only 1 person?

Bad Idea on the drives. When they first spin up if they are not secured they may jump a bit. considering the heads float only a few thousanths of and inch over the platters you don't want the drive bouncing around.

I would definatly go with the 120 mm intake. From there I would just take your dremel and grind out the hole in the back so you can place at least a 80mm exaust fan. As for the top, you can either cut a window up there or leave it as is. A Blowhole would be a almost definate in that case also. If you want to take things a little farther, then Cut out a window in the left side of the case and stylth your drives. The ziptie idea for your hardrives is fine. They will not bounce around unless you are in a earthquake. From there you can do some ducting for your cpu fan, and cut out all the grills fro mthe fan holes. Just ask if you need to know how or do not understand any of my sugestions

That rear fan area looks like a bear...See the angle of the metal to the left of the current fan position..Hmm ;) Might take some thought on that mounting...

I took a look at the back of the case and I think you cut out the fan hole that is already there and then, if it will fit, cut another 80mm hole just below it.
