ok so heres a desperate question from a desperat man. please help, my 1.33ghz athlon week 23 has the sligest chip on the die, anywas it never worked, (dammed thermoengine with delta). so i got an rma(finnaly after 2 months), and told them that it had no phisical damage, dont know whats wrong with it it just doesent work. but they said they would examine it, to see for any dammage, what should i do, is there any way i can repair the chip, its so small,and what should i use, just so it looks like its not there? please help, should i write a note saying i used a shim, any help would help, or anm i screwed out of 150$, they overpriced me from the begining., i am really sad cause im 14 and 150 does not come easy.

well yeah, you got a better chance then if you said you chipped it. saying you used a shim would be more convincing.

I told Intel their heatsink caused it because it went on at an angle when clamping it down. A heatsink actually did crack my core but it was a Glaciator. They took mine no problems.

ya but i didn't gaet a heatsink with my processor, but thanxs anywase, u have been a big help, i remeber a couple weeks ago:)

Hey peppy, In your sig you got a duron at 1.28ghz! nice oc! :eek: expecially for air cooling.

well that 1.28 ghz will be soon, cause i have pc166 ram w/ sinks,and fan, and some serious serious case cooling, and a thermoengine with delta, with as/2, so i think ill be able to get that. it seems possible if i get a nice chip. especially with my nice iwill kk266, soon volt mod, getin ready for my return 1.33 ghz athlon, that i planned to push 1660mhz out of, but chip, not even 1mhz:(, plus ill burn in that chip, it possible, :) + im in a a/c room all day long, and 2X 300 watt psu
