Well I did some experimentation with the bios updating and found out a few things. #1, if you aren't getting good overclocks after the update try a different bios version. I had originally used the BBA bios update for my BBA card and my performance actually decreased. But by using a different bios, I was able to gain about 6% performance and even more when FSAA is taken into account, which is pretty decent considering it was free.
Just a note to try all of the bios versions untill you find one that suits your card best.
