Im planning on 'upgrading' my cooling method and was wondering which would be best, a Millenium Glaciator or an AquaStealth II? Im no worried about fan/pump noise or anything like that, considering I'm 100% deaf. Anyone have any info that would help me decide which way to go? Thanks.

I don't know about the Aquastealth, but if you're really not worried about noise at all, then go with the Swiftech MC-462 or the Swiftech MCX-370...look at http://www.coolerguys.com/cpucool/extreme.shtml for a bunch of the best coolers available.

The AquaStealth II is a great little water cooling kit. You will get better temps with it then using the Glaciator and will have less noise.

On my setup I get just alittle better cooling with it then with my Swiftech MC-462.

But if you do get the AquaStealth II make sure you get the Lexan Clamp to hold the water block in place. I used the clamp that came with the kit and ripped off the socket lugs and killed a AXIA 1gig Tbird.

Thanks.

Are you really deaf? Or was that a Joke?

If you are really deaf and noise is not an issue, then I would consider a Thermalright SK-6 w/Delta 38 screamer as an aircooling solution. It will give you better temps than the glaciator. It is also lighter. (and cheaper I think).

I have never tried water cooling so I can't give you any advice there.

Where did you get the AquaStealth II and for how much? Especially want to know where you got the Lexan clamp, tho.

I got everything at http://www.aquastealth.com/

I used the Lexan Clamp from them for a bit then I made my own.

I have had good luck with my glaciator and its very economical compared to the swifty or watercooling. I also have seen the water gush ruin a machine, this is safer.

Yep, it's true.....im 100% deaf. I went deaf 6 years ago. I was 17. Woke up on March 16th 1995 and couldnt hear anything.

from reading all of the replies to my thread, I think it's safe to say that I'll be going with a Swiftech. They won't bust my wallet as much as a water cooler would.

But if your deaf thus not bothered about the noise for a bit more cool just chop some 120mm fan holes in your case and really get some air shiftin. Or chute 80mm delta onto a good quality heatsink..

I use the aquastealth and am moderately happy with it. I think the main feature of it is their block radiator. The cpu block, mobo block, vid block are ok. The pump is terrible (I replaced it right away). The hose is ok (I didn't get enough to plumb my entire system, though :().

aquasteath = excellent temp but expensive
glaciator = good temp but reasonable price
i would go for aquasteath cause temp = CPU's life
