Probably another dumb question, I have lots of em. But I'm just reading up on the nVidia nForce chipset. Looks to blow everything away, thing is it uses DDR and you need 2 sticks to fully take advantage of the chipset. I looked around and at Neutronet.com, they sell New Trend Pro PC2100 CAS2 256 MB stick for $41. I know I will upgrade to nForce mobo when it comes out. Question is, should I stock up on the DDR now, in case the price goes back up? I mean is DDR here to stay?

Keep in mind prices drop day by day. With the exception of memory. Plus the fact how much cheaper can it be! I say go for it, if your sure its going to be in the near future for your rig.

Prices are the lowest I've ever seen them, so I would stock up. I think DDR is here to stay, but then again a year ago I said Rambus would disappear very quickly, and it's still very much here. Aside from Rambus the company, I think both are very good technologies.
