Hi guys,
First a little background of my system.
Pentium III 700e oced to 1120mhz on an Asus P3V4X
86W Peltier/Alpha P3125S with 2 60mm Sunon fans (25.5cfm each)
3 120mm Sunon fans (108cfm each)
2 80mm Sunon fans (42.5cfm each)
350W ATX HEC main power supply for system
300W ATX secondary power supply for peltier, the 3 120mm fans, and the 2 80mm fans.

(soon to get stuff)
2 38cfm Delta 60mm fans (or the 51cfm screamers)
1 BLORB for video card (Inno3d GF2 MX 400 64MB w/TV out)
A few ramsink for video card, clock generator, and southbridge chip.
Make Fanbus for the 5 fans, (when Radio Shack has the switches in-stock)

Ok, here is what I want to do. Insert a 3rd power supply INTO my secondary power supply to run fans on.
I have a spare 250W LC ATX power supply.
I have been looking inside my power supplies, and I think I have the room to do it.
I was wondering if anyone has done this before, and if you have any tips.
Yes, this is Modding to the Extreme.... It'll be 900Watts of power in my case, oh yeah baby.

I am doing this because I think my 300W secondary power supply is almost maxed out. It has 12Amps on the +12v line. With what I have now I am using about 9.3Amps., and with my next round of stuff to get It'll tax more on my peltier cooling. I would like to run water cooling on day, and eventually get a new set-up (AMD I think)

you can see my current set-up here.

just be careful is all that I can say. There is a LOT of power stored inside those things (not as much as monitors, though). Ground the ps w/ a screw driver first.

i don't know if that is such a good idea, that would double the heat indside your one ps, that would mean mucho heat that needs to be taken out of the ps, after you put the second circuit board in there i don't think you will have room for a second fan

You're running 650 Watts now. You don't have enough stuff in your system to warrant going to a 3rd power supply. Even with a pelt.

I'd say replace one with a 500, it usually costs around $100 but it's worth it.

Or take some electrical engineering courses at a local comunity college, and make you own kilowatt ATX PSU. It could be done you know . . . .

Then after your done with that, take classes on Nuclear Engineering and make your own powerplant to power the powersupply.

Then take an accounting class to learn how to save up to pay your electric bill.

hey guys, i ended up not being able to cram the 2 power supplies into 1 psu case.
it's ok.
here is what i did instead....
I made a 12v/0v Fanbus
