im just having problems with my friends computer and would like to just change the registry and not format i want to try deltree
You don't want to use DELTREE then. DELTREE will delete a folder and all subsequent files and folders contained in it. You want to go to the RUN command under START and type REGEDIT. This is the Windows registry editor. Be careful in what you change though...you can make it worse than it may already be.
